Bodom Night by Black Diamond starts on Friday evening at 10pm, 30min after sunset.
We are currently evaluating options for the 2024 Friday evening of Bodom Trail. Creating a great night trail experience in Bodom Night requires quite a lot of resources and, with the relatively low participant numbers in the past few years, it has become evident that we need to change something in the concept. What exactly, we’ll let you know a bit later.
The 10k course of Bodom Night by Black Diamond is a combination of the two loops of 21k. It includes Sorlampi and Hynkänlampi lakes and some new trail sections. Parts of the course will be run in the opposite direction of what is normally followed, so it will be a unique experience versus running in the daytime, even for the most regular of Bodom Trail participants. Running in a dark forest with a headlamp, reflective course markings, as well as cosy campfires along the course and special light effects at the finish will create a unique trail running experience that you definitely should not miss!
For the most active trail experts there is the Bodom Double, ranking by the total time of Bodom Night (10k) and Bodom Trail 21k. All runners who sign up with identical runner details to both races will automatically make it to the double results. You can also sign up directly to Bodom Double and claim a special bib that reveals that you’ve had ‘Friday night adventures’ to your fellow runners on Saturday.
Bodom Night main partner is Black Diamond, a brand of top quality headlamps, running poles and a large variety of other equipment for outdoor sports. Black Diamond headlamps will be available for testing on during the event. Learn more about Black Diamond lamps.
