Bodom Trail
Three distances, 6km, 12km and 21km. The 21km course consists of two separate loops
The first 12km loop is mainly fast, relatively strong single track trails. Some sections with stones and roots slow down the pace in the further parts of the first loop. The first km is on a wide dirt track. 6km course is a shortened version of the first loop and suits well for all ages and experience levels.
The second 9km loop is more technical than the first one and has some proper wilderness sections. The ground is soft and the trails are small, before the few fast last kilometres to the finish line.
12/21km distance is selected during the run. When approaching the end of the first loop, you can decide to run to the finish line or to continue to the second loop. If you finish after the first loop, you will end up to 12km results. If you take the lane to the second loop through the intermediate time gate, you will get a 12km split and go to the 21km results.
If you can’t finish the second loop or miss the 14:30 cut-off, you will not get a final result on either distance but a dnf in 21km. So, think twice how much energy you have left after the first loop. The second one, although shorter, may take as much time as the first one.
