Competitor’s checklist

04/05/2017 By Laura Leppälä

Dear Bodom Trail, Bodom Team and Bodom Night competitor, here’s a short checklist of general instructions:

Please arrive early enough to the event center. If you haven’t collected your race materials yet, be prepared for some waiting time at the race office.

If you’re arriving with a Bodom Trail charter bus you will receive their material on the bus. No need to pick the material from the race office.

If you’re arriving by your own car, please share the car with other competitors or read the car pooling instructions given by organizers. Spectators are encouraged to arrive by bicycles or public transportation.

Race materials include a tear-off badge for marking your bag for storage. Please use the badge if leaving a bag for the general storage that can be found in a building behind the sports field.

The route is a bit wet at some parts…

The weather is forecasted to be sunny and warm. Please bring your own drinking bottle, hydration pack or a cup with you. Aid stations serve water and sports drink only to your own bottles.

Attach the number bib to your chest. The placing is essential for correct timing.

If you’re enjoying energy gels or other snacks during the race, please take the garbage to trash bins at drink stations or at the event center. Let’s keep the nature clean!

If you need to pass other competitors on trails, please be polite and notify when passing by. In a case of emergency, helping fellow runners is a part of trail running culture.

Most of all, we wish an enjoyable event for everyone!
