Course change at 16km

25/04/2016 By terho

On the second loop, there will be a small course change compared to previous years. Drink station moves from near the lake Sultingsträsk to lake Hynkänlampi. Unlike before, runners will now visit the second loop drink station only once, not twice. The station is 4km after previous drink station and 5km before finish. Near the old drink station, the course will be about 70m shorter than before as both bends to the drink station are left out.

The main reason of the change is a fishing competition that takes place on Sultingsträsk the same day. The location of the new drink station is very nice for spectators as there is a great view over the lake and a fire place for frying sausages. For runners, there is a toilet available. The change also increases the relative share of trails on the course which is naturally positive for a trail run.

Charter buses to Bodom Trail

04/04/2016 By terho

Five charter buses from around Helsinki area are available for Bodom Trail participants to get easily to and form the event center. Below links to the final sign-up forms to the buses. The price of the bus transport is 10e two-way, paid in the bus on the way to the event. The price includes delivery of your race material to the bus. This means that you don’t need to pick up your material from the event office before, and it also means that your material is not available in the office, should you of some reason request it there, until the bus arrives…

All buses arrive at the event center between 9:00-9:15. That should leave you nicely time to prepare for the start and to drop your bag to storage. Returns are timed so that if you are not slower than the slowest in the past two years, you should be able to catch your bus with some margin.

Helsinki city center (Kiasma charter bus stop)
Bus 1 (49 seats) departure Kiasma 8:30, return from Pirttimäki 14:00. Travel time about 40min.
Bus 2 (51 seats) departure Kiasma 8:30, return from Pirttimäki 14:30. Travel time about 40min.

Itäkeskus and Tikkurila (same bus, 53 seats) departure 8:10 Itäkeskus metro station, Turunlinnantie, parking area for charter buses. Departure Tikkurila 8:40 in front of Sokos Hotel next to railway. Return from Pirttimäki 14:10, Tikkurila 14:45, Itäkeskus 15:15.

Leppävaara (60 seats) departure 8:40 from Linnatullinkatu in front of Prisma Sello where buses are parking diagonally to the road. Return from Pirttimäki 14:20. Travel time 25min.

Espoo center (52 seats) departure 8:40 from Kirkkojärventie, norhtside of the railway station. Return from Pirttimäki 14:30. Travel time 20min.

In case you have to change your plans, bus transfer can be canceled until May 1st. After that we start packing participant materials by bus.

Yhteislenkit 2016 – ilmoittaudu mukaan!

29/03/2016 By terho

Tänäkin vuonna järjestämme kisareitillä kaksi yhteislenkkiä, joilla pääsee tutustumaan reitin kulkuun ja muihin juoksijoihin. Helatorstain aikaisen ajankohdan vuoksi polkujen sulamisen ja tapahtuman väliin jää melko vähän aikaa, joten myös lenkit pidetään varsin lähellä H-hetkeä:

Keskiviikko 20.4. klo 18:00: Kisareitin alkuosa, perusreitti 12km, oikomahdollisuudet 11km ja 6km. Kesto 1,5-2h.
Ilmoittaudu Facebookissa tai erillisellä nettilomakkeella.

Keskiviikko 27.4. klo 18:00: Kisareitin loppuosa, 9km. Useita oikomahdollisuuksia. Kesto 1-1,5h.
Ilmoittaudu Facebookissa tai erillisellä nettilomakkeella.

Lenkkien lähtöpaikka on Pirttimäen ulkoilumajan edustalla.
